DR ANNA EKSTROM
Osteopathic Medical Specialist
Anna Ekstrom, DO, is an osteopathic physician; as such, her philosophy in all treatment is to look at the whole body for health and improved function. She specializes in Osteopathic Manual Medicine using a hands-on approach to diagnose, treat, and prevent illness or injury. She practices traditional osteopathy and homeopathy in the San Francisco Bay Area. Dr. Anna treats children of all ages as well as expecting and new mothers. She has a passion for treating infants with problems such as colic, nursing difficulties, and plagiocephaly; she also specializes in treating children and adolescents who participate in sports.
Dr. Anna obtained her undergraduate degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from UC Davis; She then attended Touro University - California where she obtained her Doctorate in Osteopathic Medicine as well as her Masters in Public Health. She completed her Pediatric Residency at UCSF-Fresno and became a board certified Pediatrician in 2016. She spent her first year out of residency in the Medical Genetics Department at Valley Children's Hospital specializing in children with achondroplasia, Down Syndrome, Ehlers Danlos Syndrome, Marfan Syndrome, microdeletion syndromes, and neurofibromatosis. She currently divides her time between her private Osteopathic practice in the Southern Bay Area and practicing General Pediatrics at a Federally Qualified Health Clinic in the Northern Bay Area.
